MATERIAL: pure hand woven silk, cotton threads for embroidery
Dimensions: 90 inches (225cms) width x 102 inches (255cms) length
Color : multi colored as shown in pictures
Process of Creation: Sections of vintage, pure silk sarees in excellent condition that have Ikat (also called patola or iqat print) were assembled together. This silk layer was delicately hand sewn using small Kantha running stitches to new black colored cotton fabric. Each silk saree patch was carefully chosen to contain the ikat pattern and is in excellent condition. The detailed kantha embroidery used to layer this quilt throw or bedspread was done in multiple colors and very neatly so that the final item is fully reversible.
Condition : Excellent. Minor imperfections due to hand crafted nature of the item may exist and are considered to add to charm of these throws or quilts
